Service Leader

Xiaofang
Hi, I’m Xiaofang and I’m the service leader and educational leader at Rosewood Downs Uniting Kindergarten. I’ve worked in early learning since 2014 with children aged from six weeks to eight years. Among my qualifications I have a Master of Teaching in Early Years, Master of Education, Child Psychology Diploma, Associate Montessori International (2.5 to 6 years) Diploma, and I’m currently undertaking a PhD exploring bilingual education in kindergartens. I am passionate about children’s learning and education. Children empower and inspire me every day. Children are great role models on how to smile more and persist until you master a skill. Witnessing and contributing to children’s learning and growth provide me with a sense of achievement! At Rosewood Downs Uniting Kindergarten, we have a passionate and dedicated team with diverse cultural backgrounds and a wealth of experience in early childhood. Children’s safety and wellbeing is our priority. A fun and nurturing environment for our children to thrive is paramount to us.
Health and wellbeing

Mental Health
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We can also refer to mental health support programs for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.

Nutrition
Your child will learn about good nutrition to form healthy eating habits. We do this by growing fruit, vegetables and herbs in our centre garden. We also teach food safety practices. We respect and follow culturally appropriate food guidelines as we educate the children about healthy eating and
nutrition.

Safe Environment
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
