Our Family Day Care services provide children with education and care in a nurturing home–learning environment, helping them to develop close and sustainable bonds with their educators. Uniting's professionally trained and qualified network of experienced educators provide play based activities tailored to children’s individual needs and interests.
Family Day Care is primarily for children who have yet to start school, care is available for school children up to 12 years old. We tailor care to suit every family's needs with flexible hours, and can even provide overnight care by arrangement.
All of our Family Day Care educators undergo rigorous screening processes (such as working with children’s or vulnerable peoples check) and are highly trained to provide your child with the best care. You can rest assured that Family Day Care is governed by the same National Quality Framework (NQF) standards as all other childcare.

Family Day Care can cater for children with disabilities and/or additional needs and often is a preferred option due to the specialised care. You can discuss your child’s specific needs with your Family Day Care coordinator.
A major advantage of Family Day Care is the small group sizes which include up to 7 school-aged children and no more than 4 children aged 0-4 years per group.
Yes, Family Day Care Educators have an Early Childhood qualification, a Working with Children Check (VIC) Vulnerable People Check (TAS), a Police Check, and First Aid Training. They follow the National Quality Standard Framework to ensure that their care is up to standard.
