Early learning in Portland.
Our kindergarten is located on the site of Bundarra Primary School.
We offer an inclusive and creative kinder program, led by educators who are focused on nurturing
your child’s strengths, interests and social connections. We provide opportunities for children to have input into the development of the program.
Your child will enjoy fun learning adventures through creative indoor activities and outdoor experiences, sustainability, inclusion and diversity.
Our goal is to nurture happy, healthy children and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Our centre
Our kindergarten offers indoor and outdoor play areas and equipment to support the physical and social development of your child. Our kinder features:
- A beautiful, sunny indoor space
- Sand pits and mud kitchen
- Shade trees and sails for sun protection
- Play equipment for games, climbing, skipping, throwing and catching activities.
- A large outdoor space for cubbies and tree houses
- Vegetable and herb garden
- Recycling area

Learning experiences
Your child will go on excursions, get involved in the local community and take part in environmental programs to help them become active members of the local community. We also get involved in fundraisers and social events.

Considering the world around us is an important part of our daily activities. We encourage children to:

Fostering family and community connections
Your child will learn about their community and other cultures. Our centre celebrates significant cultural events. We also get involved in fundraising activities for causes that are important to the community.

Hi, I’m Aymie, and I’m the Service Leader at Bundarra Uniting Kindergarten. I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teacher) at Swinburne University. I’ve worked in the early learning sector since 2015, across a multitude of different roles, between Kindergarten and Long Daycare settings. My passion in Early Learning stems from the desire to see every child nurtured to reach their I pride myself on leading a high-quality program where every child is valued, safe, and nurtured to succeed. Our brand-new facility provides a comfortable, bright and spacious environment to deliver our program, with abundant resources, and a stunning nature-based outdoor play space. The team at Bundarra Kinder looks forward to meeting you.

Health and wellbeing
Mental health
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We can also refer to mental health support programs for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
Nutrition
Your child will learn about good nutrition to form healthy eating habits. We do this by growing fruit, vegetables and herbs in our centre garden. We also teach food safety practices. We respect and follow culturally appropriate food guidelines as we educate the children about healthy eating and nutrition.
Safe environment
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
