Our kindergarten has been an important part of the Bacchus Marsh community for 25 years and is just a five-minute walk from Darley Park.
Our educators follow the Montessori approach, which inspires children to develop a lifelong love of learning by following their natural development.
Your child will participate in educational and age-appropriate activities according to their interests, helping them progress at their own pace.
We offer hands-on activities and collaborative play to help your child form social bonds with their peers.
Our educators are passionate about nurturing self-expression to bring out the best in your child.
We welcome children of all abilities at our kindergarten and work hard to ensure that every family feels part of our tight-knit community.
Our large outdoor and indoor spaces are ideal for Montessori based activities that encourage the physical and social development of your child. Our kindergarten features:

Through a variety of different lessons, activities and excursions, there’s always something new for your child to discover and learn at our kindergarten. We encourage children to embrace sustainable practices and care for the environment through our gardening and recycling activities.
We also have some special animal members including Bluey the blue-tongued lizard who we’ve raised from a baby, a family of fish and two hens that we hatched from eggs and now they lay eggs for us.
We love excursions and welcoming visitors to our centre.
We often visit or welcome people from:
We welcome families and carers into our kindergarten to share our learning experiences and connect with our community. Whether assisting with fundraising activities or having your say through the Parent Partnership Group, we encourage you to get involved. We celebrate many different cultural festivals and invite family participation. Your child will get to know their local community through visits to local primary schools and emergency service providers.
We have educators who speak Tamil, Afrikaans, Punjabi, Arabic, Hindi, Gujarati and Urdu in addition to English. If you need any communication to be translated into any language, we’re happy to help.
Hi, I’m Caroline and I’ve been the Team Leader at Bacchus Marsh Montessori Uniting Kindergarten for over ten years. I’ve worked in early learning for over 20 years and hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma of Education Studies (Early Childhood) and a Montessori Diploma.
I am passionate about early learning as I feel I can make a positive difference in young people’s lives, and their family. I learn something every single day from the amazing children and enjoy the positive experiences they bring.
We’re a truly amazing team of educators that will provide the best care possible for your child, as this is our combined greatest priority. We all highly value the Montessori method and are always striving for improvement. The prepared environment and lovely garden are very inviting and are a beautiful space for your child to continue their individual learning journey.
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child. We also offer mental health referral for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
We teach healthy eating habits and general wellbeing to help your child thrive. Children take an active role in their food preparation through tending to the fruit, vegetable and herb gardens at our service. Our wellbeing learning experiences extend beyond nutrition. We also have visits from the dental van and other health practitioners such as psychologists, speech and occupational therapists.
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focussed on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
