Kindergarten

Children develop the skills, confidence, and resilience they need for a successful transition to school.

Kindergarten should be a joyous experience filled with laughter, learning and exciting discoveries while preparing 3 and 4 year olds for their first year at school.

Your child will explore their sense of self and creativity in environments that are rich in art, music, numbers, and language.

Our structured learning environments pave the path to school by encouraging children to engage with their surroundings, respect other cultures, express themselves and connect with others.

Curriculum

The foundations we lay in kindergarten, become the building blocks for your child’s success at school. Through our unique, age-appropriate programs, children can transition to school equipped with the familiarity of a structured learning environment and the support and encouragement of our educators. Tailoring our programs to children and their families, we can blend the formal requirements of the curriculum with the real-world needs of our community delivering a well-rounded learning experience for all.

We help to lay the foundations for future learning through environments that are rich in numbers, words and creative activity.

Our environment

Learning continues outside of the classroom where children discover and celebrate their natural surroundings. By introducing them to the wonders of nature and incorporating natural materials into our activities, children are inspired to explore and learn how to care for the environment while delighting in fun, stimulating and sensory experiences outdoors.

Our educators

Our experienced educators prepare 3 and 4 year olds for school by introducing them to a structured learning environment while nurturing their social and emotional wellbeing. At our kindergartens, children are encouraged to express themselves, explore new ideas, and build relationships with our teachers and each other. We help them develop new skills and get used to more formal learning, so they are ready and excited about starting school.

Our frameworks

Two important documents guide the way we nurture children in our services. They are:

Belonging, Being and Becoming - The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia

The Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework

Some of our services use a Steiner, Montessori or Reggio Emilia approach that also meets the requirements of the Australian and Victorian early years frameworks.
