After school care in South Arm.
Our South Arm after school care program provides learning and leisure activities for local children, taking the pressure off busy families who need additional school-based care.
Located at South Arm Primary School, our service gives your child more time with their peers when school finishes.
Children can come straight to our care from school and continue their adventures in our safe and familiar environment.
We are a small, rural after school care service with a focus on nurturing social and community
connections.
We will work with your child to build on their strengths and interests, while learning and having fun along the way.
We provide a culturally safe and inclusive environment for all members of our learning community and provide translation and other support services when needed.

Before & After School Care Supervisor

Simon
Hi, I’m Simon and I’m the Nominated Supervisor for Before & After School Care services at Campbell Street, Collinsvale, Kempton, Mount Stuart and South Arm. I have a Bachelor of Teaching from the University of Tasmania.
I’ve been the Program Leader for 18 years. During that time, I have worked predominantly in school aged education, working at several OSHC services and our pre-kinder program at Campbell Street Early Learning.
I’m passionate about assisting children to develop in their life-long learning, and love to see the achievements in their early years. We provide a safe, enjoyable, and fun environment for the children to develop through play-based development and learning tailored from the children’s own interests. My team and I provide a high-quality program in a collaborative community environment.
Health and wellbeing

Mental Health
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. Educators provide both environments and programs that support children’s positive mental health and self–care. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.

Nutrition
We teach children about the importance of healthy eating and nutrition. At our early learning service, we:
- Grow our own fruit, vegetables and herbs
- Encourage your child to help with preparing food
- Accommodate all dietary requirements
- Emphasise food safety
- Work with families from a range of cultural backgrounds to ensure cultural foods meet food standard requirements

Safe Environment
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
