Centre Director
Jade
Hi, I’m Jade, the Centre Director at Yea Uniting Early Learning. I’ve been a childcare educator for almost 20 years. I’m passionate about nurturing and educating children by creating a safe and stimulating environment. I pride myself on being fun, approachable, and supportive to both staff and families. Building strong relationships with colleagues, parents and children is at the core of my philosophy. I strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels valued and supported. In my role, I am here not only for the children, but also for the staff and families. I believe in open communication, collaboration, and the continuous improvement to provide the best possible care and education. My team and I look forward to welcoming you.
Health and wellbeing
Mental health
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
Nutrition
Helping children to make healthy food choices is an important part of our daily activities. We offer lessons on food safety and cooking using the produce from our garden. This allows children to apply what they have learnt about nutrition and environmental sustainability. At our early learning centre, we:
- Grow our own fruit, vegetables and herbs
- Work with families from a range of cultural backgrounds to ensure cultural foods meet requirements
- Offer progressive snack and lunchtime to empower children to ask for what they want and when
- Participate in the Healthy Together Victoria Achievement Program
- Work with the Smiles 4 Miles program to teach good oral health and healthy eating habits
Safe environment
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
