4 Year Old Kindergarten Teacher

Hi, I’m Fiona, the Acting Centre Director and 4-year-old Kindergarten Teacher at Yea Uniting Early Learning. I’ve worked in early learning for 25 years and have been the 4-year-old teacher at Yea for 10 years. During this time, I have seen our service grow and develop into the thriving hub it is today.

I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies and am currently studying my Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science.

I love knowing that I am making a positive difference in the lives of the children and families that I support.

At Yea, we value community and build strong relationships with our children and families. We provide children and families with a service that we would be happy to send our own children to, and work hard to ensure that we are continually evolving the program so that we can continue to grow and develop while meeting changing community needs.

Health and wellbeing

Mental health

Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.

Helping children to make healthy food choices is an important part of our daily activities. We offer lessons on food safety and cooking using the produce from our garden. This allows children to apply what they have learnt about nutrition and environmental sustainability. At our early learning centre, we:

Safe environment

As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
