Service Leader and Teacher
Nicole
Hi, I’m Nicole and I’m the Service Leader and a Kindergarten Teacher at Clyde Street Uniting Kindergarten. I hold a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I’ve been in the early learning sector for over 15 years, working across a range of roles and services. I’m passionate about creating meaningful, play-based learning experiences that nurture each child’s sense of identity, curiosity, and confidence. I’m a mum myself and have a personal understanding of the trust families place in us. Our team places great importance on building strong, respectful partnerships with families, who are their child’s first and most important teachers. Our team takes the time to truly get to know each child and their family. Our warm, engaging, and inclusive environment encourages children to explore, grow, and thrive. Our passionate and experienced team works in close partnership with families to support every child’s unique journey. We love to dabble in languages at Clyde Street, so don’t be surprised if your child comes home counting or chatting in French, Italian, Tagalog, Japanese—or more! We can’t wait to welcome you to the kinder.
Health and wellbeing
Mental health
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We can also refer to mental health support programs for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
Nutrition
Your child will learn about good nutrition to form healthy eating habits. We do this by growing fruit, vegetables and herbs in our centre garden. We also teach food safety practices. We respect and follow culturally appropriate food guidelines as we educate the children about healthy eating and nutrition.
Safe environment
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
