Early learning in Briagolong.
Surrounded by the beautiful Gippsland countryside, our kindergarten and childcare services are located on Cahill Street in Briagolong.
Our close relationship with community organisations allows us to provide fun and educational experiences for local kindergarten children. We also offer flexible occasional care for busy families.
We are passionate about fostering your child’s individual strengths, interests and social connections.
Our educators are experienced in working with children who live with a range of physical and intellectual disabilities.

Our large outdoor spaces will allow your child to learn from our wealth of natural resources. Our early learning service features:
- Planned indoor spaces
- Large outdoor spaces
- Sand and mud pits
- Recycling area
- Cubby house
- Worm farm
- Water tank.
- Play area with climbing equipment
- Trees and natural shade
- Gardening beds
- Shade sail
- Swings
- Bike track

Learning experiences
Our activities and excursions will support your child to learn about the world around them and have fun along the way.
Caring for the environment
We nurture an appreciation for nature by showing children the beauty of the environment, often in partnership with guests from our community. Your child will have the opportunity to participate in activities such as:
- Recycling water and materials
- Compsting
- Caring for our worm farm
- Sustainability lessons from the local Council.
Family and community connections
We welcome families to get involved in our activities. If you have time, you are invited to:
- Celebrate significant cultural festivals and days
- Talk to the children about your job, hobbies or other interesting topics
- Volunteer your time to support our programs
- Join our Parent Partnership Group.
Regular visits from local organisations and community members will broaden your child’s knowledge of the outside world and teach them about the importance of community.

Kirsty
Hi, I’m Kirsty and I’m the Director at Briagolong Uniting Early Learning. I’ve taught at this service for around 10 years. I’ve also taught in New Zealand and England. I hold a Diploma of Teaching and Early Childhood Education. I want children to learn and have fun at Kinder and for each child to be confident in their choices and ideas. I love watching the children grow and strive for excellence, doing the best they can and for us as educators to support and guide children in their ideas, passions, and experiences. At Briagolong, our educators are kind, caring and fun. We teach children to learn through play with a large emphasis on natural play resources and equipment. We believe children should feel safe and secure in their learning environment. I’m passionate about developing positive relationships with families and carers – get in touch today to chat about coming to our service.

Mental health
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
Nutrition
Our fun and practical activities about food and nutrition will support your child to make healthy choices. At our centre, we:
- Grow our own produce
- Emphasise food safety
- Work with families from a range of cultural backgrounds to ensure cultural foods meet requirements
- Offer progressive snack and lunchtime to empower children to ask for what they want and when
- Participate in the Smiles 4 Miles Program to support oral health.
