Limited kindergarten places available. Enrol now.

Yea Children’s Centre offers age-appropriate care and early learning services in a warm and welcoming environment for the children of our surrounding communities.

We provide flexible kindergarten programs for children aged 3-4, as well as long day care services for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

To showcase our facility we have created a 3-D Virtual Tour with a dollshouse view and a highlight reel

Learning Experiences

We strive to include lessons on sustainability and environmental awareness in all our activities, strengthening your child’s connection to their surroundings and community. Children have fun learning about art, different cultures, nature, and careers through excursions and visits from local organisations and programs.

Some of our activities include:

  • Recycling of materials and water
  • Promoting sustainable living and encouraging children to develop everyday sustainable practises
  • Participation in the local community garden project

We love excursions such as:

  • ELF Day (children walk to local venues dressed as their favourite book character, and are read to by community members)
  • Local police station, Fire Brigade, Post Office, Supermarket
  • Healesville Sanctuary

We also love having a variety of entertaining and informative visitors and guest speakers:

  • Black Snake Productions
  • Dinosaur Museum
  • Tingle Toodle
  • Dentist
  • Goulburn Valley Water
  • Bravehearts
  • Responsible Pet Program
  • Special Person's Day - Carp production
  • An indigenous Elder
Health and wellbeing

Preparing children to make healthy choices and discover sustainable living practices is an important part of our daily activities. We offer lessons on food safety and cooking using the home-grown produce from our garden, allowing children to practically apply what they have learnt about nutrition and environmental sustainability.

Our health and wellbeing program includes:

  • Growing our own produce in our garden (e.g. herbs, vegetables, fruit)
  • Working sensitively with parents and families from a range of cultural backgrounds to ensure cultural foods meet food standard requirements
  • Offering progressive snack and lunchtime to empower children to ask for what they want and when

We also participate in community programs such as:

  • Healthy Together Victoria Achievement Program
  • Smiles 4 Miles, encouraging and promoting good oral health habits and healthy eating among children in our care
Family and community

Join in, get involved! All families are welcome at our early learning centre. We encourage you to participate in your child’s early learning experience in whatever ways you can. We invite parents to come along on excursions, help with fundraising events, give talks, and celebrate culturally significant events together.

We regularly engage with our community members and programs, including:

  • Local primary schools to assist with the transition to school
  • The local Children’s Network meeting
  • Local police, paramedics, fire brigade, and dentists, through excursions to their workplaces and visits to the centre
  • The Maternal and Child Health Nurse
