Horsham Uniting Early Learning Childcare Centre

Child care
Long day care
Limited places available. Enrol now.

Established in 1988, Horsham Community Childcare Centre provides long day care and integrated kindergarten.

Our educators have extensive experience nurturing Horsham’s children, many having worked at our centre for 10 years or more. Our early learning centre confidently offers localised childcare and education for the community we know and love dearly.

To showcase our facility we have created a 3-D Virtual Tour with a dollhouse view and a highlight reel.

Our expansive outdoor area features local indigenous art and also includes a veggie garden, mud pit, newly upgraded playground and undercover sand pit and climbing area. Your children can explore and learn about their surroundings while immersed in nature.

Our early learning centre features:

  • Planned and intentional indoor spaces
  • Large outdoor space
  • Trees and natural shade
  • Herb and vegetable gardening beds
  • Pergola
  • Shade sail
  • Play area with climbing equipment
  • Bicycle track
  • Gross motor play equipment
  • Chickens
  • Birds, chickens and fish
  • Recycling to encourage sustainability and caring for the environment
  • Worm farm
Learning Experiences

Our many fun and educational activities encourage children to learn about everyday sustainable practices through our gardening and recycling programs, library visits and guest speakers from local cultural groups and museums.

Children participate in:

  • Small Green Steps sustainability program
  • Feeding the chickens scraps
  • Recycling and composting activities
  • Excursions to town and mohair goat farm

We’ve also had many visitors and guest speakers including:

  • Melbourne Museum
  • Visiting pets (a rabbit, lamb, and dog)
  • Pet Safety program
  • Wildlife exposure
  • A local elder talk
  • Local aboriginal playgroup
  • Horsham Foot and Ankle Clinic

We also participate in Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) Chinese program.

Health and wellbeing

Wherever possible, we adhere to special dietary and cultural food requirements of our children. The Centre provides nourishing and balanced meals and snacks to help fuel your child’s learning and growth and foster healthy eating habits from a young age.

Family and community

All families are welcome at our centre and we encourage parents to get involved in our daily program. We also have strong connections with our local Aboriginal community, and surrounding schools, museums and farms to engage children with the wider community and celebrate diversity.

Children regularly engage with or visit our:

  • Local primary school
  • Local library
  • Emergency services
  • Museums
  • Indigenous community members or groups (Goolum Goolum)
  • Farms or farmers

We have a number of educators who can speak Chinese. For families who speak languages other than English, communication can be translated into many other languages.

Special services

Our educators are experienced in working with children who live with a range of physical and intellectual disability or have experienced challenges and trauma.
