Before and after school care in Shepparton.

Located at St. Brendan’s Primary School, our before and after-school program provides learning and leisure activities for local children, taking the pressure off busy families who need additional school-based care. We also provide vacation care during the school holidays, which families who attend other schools can also enrol in.

We provide experiences to help your child get in touch with the outdoors and nurture an understanding and love for the environment.

We provide a culturally safe and inclusive environment and provide translation and other support services where needed.

Service Leader

Maddie

Hi, I’m Maddie and I’m the Service Leader at St Brendan’s Outside School Hours Care.

I have a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care; my Certificate VI in Education Support and I’m currently studying my Diploma in Early Child Education and Care. I’ve worked in childcare since 2022 and in education support.

I’m passionate about the inclusion of all children in activities and having a safe space for imagination and exploration. I am very passionate about supporting children with additional needs and supporting families. I love to learn about the children’s culture and backgrounds, including this as a celebration in the service.

At St Brendan’s we believe in a child-based education style which allows children to have a say and be involved in the decisions made.

We look forward to welcoming you to our service.

Health and wellbeing

We work closely with Uniting staff trained in children’s trauma. We also work with Kindergarten Inclusion Support and Safe Child Support services. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance. Educators provide both environments and programs that support children’s positive mental health and selfcare.

Nutrition

We provide nutritious food, full of flavour and made from fresh ingredients. We accommodate all dietary requirements. To encourage healthy bodies and minds, we:

Safe environment

As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
