Our family day care services across Gippsland offer personalised childcare for local families.
We will support you with extended hours and your child will benefit from activities tailored to their needs and interests in a nurturing home-learning environment.
Care is flexible to suit your family’s needs, including care outside normal working hours and, if needed, overnight and weekend care by arrangement.
Your child’s confidence and resilience will grow as they explore, learn and play with their friends.
Our small groups will support your child to develop close bonds with their peers and educator.
Family day care is a great option for children living with disabilities or additional needs.

- Available seven days a week if needed
- Small group sizes of seven children or less, with no more than four children aged under four years per group
- You may be eligible for a childcare subsidy.
- Care for children from infants to school age
- Siblings can be cared for together
- A great option for children living with disabilities or special needs

Hi, I’m Claire and I’m the Team Leader at Uniting Family Day Care – Gippsland. I’ve been part of the FDC team for 5 years and have over twenty years of experience in early learning. I hold a Diploma of Community Services – Children’s Services and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology and Sociology.
I’m passionate about early learning because I get to watch children discover, grow and learn while building relationships and connections with others. It’s a real privilege to observe a child’s confidence grow.

Mental Health
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
Nutrition
We will support your child to make nutritious food choices by helping with food preparation and educational activities to show them the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Our family day care services:
- Cater for all dietary requirements
- Teach children about food safety
- Respect and follow cultural food guidelines.
Safe Environment
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
