Building confident and curious learners.
Your child will gain confidence and build healthy relationships through learning and play at our Campbell Street Uniting Before & After School Care Program.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our team will support your child as strong, competent, and
capable citizens through a variety of hands-on, nature-based learning experiences that fuel creativity, drive curiosity and promote individuality. Our activities are shaped for each child’s needs and level of development. We give children time to learn, explore, and then return to a focus of interest as needed.
Our goal is to help your child discover their strengths and interests, while creating a lifelong love of learning.
We provide a culturally safe and inclusive environment and can translate for families who speak languages other than English

Before & After School Care Supervisor

Simon
Hi, I’m Simon and I’m the Nominated Supervisor for Before & After School Care services at Campbell Street, Collinsvale, Kempton, Mount Stuart and South Arm. I have a Bachelor of Teaching from the University of Tasmania.
I’ve been the Program Leader for 18 years. During that time, I have worked predominantly in school aged education, working at several OSHC services and our pre-kinder program at Campbell Street Early Learning.
I’m passionate about assisting children to develop in their life-long learning, and love to see the achievements in their early years. We provide a safe, enjoyable, and fun environment for the children to develop through play-based development and learning tailored from the children’s own
interests. My team and I provide a high-quality program in a collaborative community environment.
Health and wellbeing

Mental health
Our team is trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child. Our educators are experienced in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. Educators provide environments and programs that support children’s positive mental health and self-care. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.

Nutrition
We empower your child to make healthy choices by offering lessons on nutrition, food safety and cuisines from other cultures through cooking and mealtime. We reference gardening programs to encourage sustainable living and are encouraged to put healthy eating habits into practice during break times. We accommodate a range of cultural and dietary requirements and practise and emphasise food safety.

Safe environment
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
