Caring for the environment

Kindergarten Teacher

Hi! My name is Elise. I am an Educational Leader and Kindergarten Teacher at Glassford Street Uniting Kindergarten. I hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and I have been in the early childhood field for 4 years.

I am passionate about the importance of play based early learning and how this builds a strong foundation of learning and development for all children.

I value all childrens perspectives and view them as capable and competent. I am passionate about creating an environment that allows children to be cocontributors and where they are acknowledged as active participants in their own learning.

Our team look forward to welcoming you and your child to our kindergarten.

Mental health

Our educator are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.

We support your child to make healthy food choices with the key message: Eat Well, Drink Well, Clean Well. We cook with fresh produce from our kinder garden, share healthy recipes and offer children a fresh fruit platter at the beginning of each session.

Safe environment

As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focussed on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
