Service Lead
Hi, I’m Cheryl and I’m the Service Lead at Orbost Uniting Early Learning. I’ve been an educator at the service for 5 years and worked in early learning for over 12 years. I have a Diploma in Early Learning. I get great joy out of discovering how children learn and helping them to extend on their interests and knowledge. At Orbost Uniting Early Learning, our team provides a safe and secure family and community environment that provides a child–led nurturing program.
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
Your child will learn about nutrition and how to take care of their body. We teach food safety,
healthy eating and the importance of exercise through fun and practical activities. We cater for all dietary requirements. Our vegetable garden supports our heathy eating activities and we use our own produce in our cooking program. We have fresh eggs from our chickens and these are used for cooking or taken home by the children.
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
