Early learning in Warragul.
Our kindergarten is located in the heart of the community, next to Warragul Uniting Church.
Our educators are passionate about nurturing the social growth and learning of your child.
We encourage children to follow their interests and enjoy life experiences through developmental activities and meaningful playtime in our large outdoor and indoor areas.
Our educators offer an inclusive environment and can support children who live with physical and intellectual disabilities.

Learning experiences
Your child will learn about the importance of community and the environment, as we focus on teamwork and waste-not-want-not values.
Caring for the environment
Your child will develop everyday sustainable practices for their future. At our kindergarten, we:
- Have a worm farm and encourage composting
- Recycle water
- Encourage children to develop sustainable habits
- Encourage recycling. At mealtimes we provide three bins with picture labels of worms for food scraps, the recycling logo for recyclable items and a rubbish bin for waste.
Excursions and incursions
We take children on excursions to help them explore our local community. Our outings include
- The local fire station
- First Nations community groups
- Community walks
We also have incursions, including:
- The Responsible Pet Ownership Program
- First Nations community groups
- Shows like Bethany’s Tooth Tales, Wiggerly Worm Dance Company, The Flying Bookworm,
- Mr Ants and Polligog Puppets.
Inclusivity
We work with an occupational therapist through Latrobe Community Health. Our educators are trained in how to best support individual children and how to enhance the program to meet the needs of all children.
Languages
Our educators are trained to use key word signing. We can also have communication translated and interpreted for families who speak languages other than English.

Belinda
Hi! I’m Belinda, the Nominated Supervisor and one of the teachers at St. Andrew’s Uniting Kindergarten in Warragul. Holding a dual bachelor’s degree in arts and teaching, along with a Graduate degree in Early Childhood Teaching, I commenced my professional journey in primary education before moving into early childhood.
I consider myself fortunate to contribute to the holistic growth and development of children, providing them with an optimal foundation for their educational journey. Working alongside a dedicated and experienced team of educators, I am proud to be part of a service committed to excellence.
St. Andrew’s Kindergarten embraces a play-based curriculum, fostering a secure environment that encourages exploration, play and learning. Our commitment is to ensure equal opportunities for all children at the outset of their educational ventures. Guided by the principles of belonging, being and becoming, we empower children to reach their full potential.
My personal satisfaction lies in establishing meaningful connections with each child, taking pleasure in understanding their unique qualities, and fostering positive relationships with their families.

Mental health
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the wellbeing of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer information on mental health support for families.
Nutrition
We encourage children to make nourishing, nutritious food choices through education and involvement in food preparation. At our kindergarten, we:
- Accommodate all dietary requirements
- Work with parents and families from a range of cultural backgrounds to ensure cultural foods meet food standard requirements
- Educate children and families about healthy eating and nutrition.
Safe environment
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focussed on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
