Centre Manager
Hi, I’m Charlotte and I’m the Nominated Supervisor and Integrated 3- and 4-year-old group Kindergarten Teacher at St. Andrew’s Uniting Kindergarten in Warragul. I have a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Teaching and a Postgraduate Degree in Primary Teaching. I also have a Bachelor of Behavioural Science and post graduate qualifications in Psychology.
Early childhood teaching is my passion. I have over 8 years’ experience working in a range of early learning environments and contexts. I have also worked in primary schools, teaching years 1 and 2. Prior to becoming an Early Childhood Teacher, I studied and worked in various psychology, behavioural science, and early intervention contexts.
I believe there is no better job than being a Kindergarten teacher. I get to experience the children’s energy and delight, to extend upon their curiosities, and to learn right alongside them when investigating their interests. I also get to support the children as they navigate the delights and challenges of their first friendships.
I believe that children learn best when the program caters to, and is planned around, their interest, needs, and their home-life experiences.
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the wellbeing of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer information on mental health support for families.
We encourage children to make nourishing, nutritious food choices through education and involvement in food preparation. At our kindergarten, we:
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focussed on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
