Our kindergarten is located at the Melton Uniting Church, behind the Melton Valley Golf Club and a short walk from Melton Primary School.

We offer a creative kinder program, led by educators who are focussed on nurturing your child’s strengths, interests and social connections.

We teach values that reflect our small local community, including kindness, resilience and teamwork.

Our educators provide an inclusive environment and are experienced in working with children of diverse needs, strengths and abilities.

Learning experiences

We encourage hands-on, nature-based activities and collaborative play in an environment that will empower your child to take initiative in their learning journey and make friends along the way.

Caring for the environment

Your child will learn about sustainable practices and get their hands dirty in our garden. We encourage children to develop everyday sustainable practices through activities such as recycling and composting. We grow our own fruit and vegetables.

We organise fun and informative workshops at our kindergarten, including:

Nominated Supervisor

Hi, I’m Rosa and I’ve been the Nominated Supervisor at Melton Uniting Kindergarten since 2004. I’ve worked in early learning for over 40 years and hold a Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) and a Graduate Diploma in Special Education.

I am passionate about making a difference in young children’s lives. By encouraging, nurturing, supporting and challenging them to develop flexible and enquiring minds, this promotes a lifelong love of learning. I believe that early childhood education is most effective when educators and family can work in harmony and in partnership to support children’s learning and growth.

Our amazing educators work tirelessly to create a safe and welcoming environment that provides endless opportunities for children to engage and explore, create, develop trust, friendships and a sense of belonging.

Health and wellbeing

Mental health

Our educators are trained in various programs to support the emotional wellbeing of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.

We help children form healthy eating habits. We do this by encouraging them to take an active role in their food preparation through tending to our vegetable, fruit and herb garden. At our kinder, we:

Safe environment

As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focussed on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
