Early Learning Centre

Early learning in Collingwood.

Located in the innercity Melbourne suburb of Collingwood, our childcare and kindergarten service has educated and cared for children in our community since 1907.

You can rely on us for long day care to support your busy schedule, while we provide fun and creative early learning experiences for your child.

We offer activities led by educators who are passionate about fostering your child’s individual strengths, interests and social connections.

Our goal is to nurture happy, healthy children and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Our educators are experienced in supporting children who live with a range of physical and intellectual disabilities.

Nominated Supervisor

Antoinette

Ciao, I’m Antoinette and have been the Nominated Supervisor at Rupert Street Uniting Early Learning for 7 years. I have been working in early childhood education for 20 years and hold a Diploma of Children’s Services.

The team at Rupert Street value each individual child as capable, confident, curious learners and celebrate the uniqueness of every family. We foster children’s natural curiosity and creativity and develop their passion for learning, ensuring families are supported and have a sense of belonging in the Rupert Street community.

Health and wellbeing

Mental Health

Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.

Nutrition

We encourage children to take care of their minds and bodies. We provide healthy and nourishing food to fuel growing bodies and emphasise the importance of healthy eating. Your child will assist in preparing healthy food, which is culturally and dietary appropriate. We use locally grown ingredients, some from our own garden. We also participate in the Smiles 4 Miles program to encourage good oral health and healthy eating.

Safe Environment

As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
