Learning experiences

Building your child’s connection to the environment will encourage their sense of adventure and physical growth. Our large outdoor space will capture your child’s imagination. From our fairy garden to our herb and vegetable patches, your child will enjoy fun learning adventures at our kindergarten.

Nominated Supervisor

Hannah

Hi, I’m Hannah, and I am the Nominated Supervisor at Port Melbourne Uniting Kindergarten.

I’ve been fortunate to work in the early childhood education sector for over 10 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in education, specialising in Early Childhood and a followon Diploma in Psychology.

My journey in early childhood education has been fuelled by a passion for nurturing young minds, fostering a love for learning, and creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and empowered.

I’ve had the privilege to work with diverse groups of children. These experiences have taught me the importance of adapting to the needs of each child, celebrating their individuality, and providing them with a rich, engaging learning experience. With my team, I am committed to implementing a curriculum that is not only educational but also fun and engaging, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

I believe as an educator we are also learning from the children, and it is a reciprocal relationship of teaching and learning.

Trusting relationships are the foundation for all great learning in a Kindergarten environment and supporting children with this encourages a sense of belonging and empowerment in the child.

All children are born with immense potential. Quality early learning helps our children begin to realise that potential and build a strong foundation for later learning and for life.

My team and I look forward to welcoming you to our kindergarten.

Health and wellbeing

Mental health

Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.

Nutrition

Children are involved in caring for our vegetable garden to help them develop healthy living practices early in life. Our cooking classes teach children about nutrition and food safety, while introducing them to foods from different cultures.

Safe environment

As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focussed on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
