Our South Arm before and after school care program provides learning and leisure activities for local children, taking the pressure off busy families who need additional school-based care.
Located at South Arm Primary School, our service gives your child more time with their peers when school finishes.
Children can come straight to our care from school and continue their adventures in our safe and familiar environment.
We are a small, rural after school care service with a focus on nurturing social and community connections.
We will work with your child to build on their strengths and interests, while learning and having fun along the way.
We provide a culturally safe and inclusive environment for all members of our learning community and provide translation and other support services when needed.

We work with local people, groups and services to broaden your child’s understanding of the world and help them become active members of our community. We engage with:
Lead Educator
Hi, I’m Therese and I’m the Lead Educator at South Arm Uniting OSHC. I’ve worked in a variety of different early childhood settings. I have a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and have worked in the EL sector for over 12 years. I love creating a space where children feel like they belong, where they can play, explore, and take the lead in their own learning. Seeing their confidence grow, watching them problem-solve, and being part of those moments of discovery make my job so rewarding. At South Arm OSHC, we’re all about creating a space where children feel at home—where they can play, explore, and just be themselves. We follow their interests, support their independence, and make sure learning feels fun and natural. With a big focus on friendships, belonging, and hands-on The team and I look forward to welcoming you to our service.
experiences, we build strong connections with children and families to create a place that’s welcoming, engaging, and full of opportunities to grow.
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. Educators provide both environments and programs that support children’s positive mental health and self–care. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
We teach children about the importance of healthy eating and nutrition. At our early learning service, we:
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
