Located at Campbell Street Primary School, our childcare service is close to the Hobart CBD.
You can rely on us for long day care to support your busy schedule, while we provide fun and creative early learning experiences for your child.

Program Leader
Michelle
Hi, my name is Michelle, and I am the Program Leader for the 3.5- to 5-year-old age group at Campbell Street Uniting Early Learning. I have a Bachelor of Teaching (Kindergarten to Year 8) and have been working in the sector for over 20 years.
For the past 11 years I have worked for Uniting, with the past 7 years in my current role. Seeing children grow from being tiny babies to toddlers and eventually kindergarten children ready for school is incredibly rewarding. I love to witness the look on a child’s face when they achieve something like writing their own name or completing a challenging puzzle.
I am passionate about giving children a warm and nurturing environment where they can freely learn, form friendships and be curious, engaged and competent learners. I am dedicated to working with families to provide the best possible learning and care for their children.
Health and wellbeing

Mental health
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.

Nutrition
We focus on empowering your child to make healthy choices by offering lessons on nutrition, food safety and cuisines from other cultures. Your child will help with growing and preparing our home–grown produce to encourage sustainable living and healthy eating. At our early learning centre, we:
- Grow our own fruit, vegetables and herbs
- Cater for all dietary requirements
- Emphasise food safety
- Work with families from a range of cultural backgrounds to ensure cultural foods meet food standard requirements
- Offer progressive snack and lunchtime to empower children to ask for what they want and when
- Offer information on healthy choices for lunch boxes.

Safe environment
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
