Located at Campbell Street Primary School, our childcare service is close to the Hobart CBD.
You can rely on us for long day care to support your busy schedule, while we provide fun and creative early learning experiences for your child.
Our service is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach that encourages children to take the lead in their learning through play, exploring and discovery.
Your child will enjoy hands-on, age-appropriate activities and personalised care that will build their sense of belonging, resilience, kindness and teamwork.
Our educators are experienced in supporting children who live with a range of physical and intellectual disabilities.
Our spacious outdoor areas provide endless opportunities for play–based activities to support the physical and social development of your child. Our early learning centre features:

Your child will learn through play as they explore a variety of nature-based activities at our early learning centre. Our educators encourage learning through organised activities, as well as encouraging your child to pursue their own interests.
We nurture an appreciation for nature by showing children the beauty of the environment, often in partnership with guests from our community.
We want your child to explore our community and enjoy new adventures. Our excursions include visits to the local:
We welcome guest speakers who educate and entertain us. We enjoy:

Program Leader
Hi, my name is Michelle, and I am the Program Leader for the 3.5- to 5-year-old age group at Campbell Street Uniting Early Learning. I have a Bachelor of Teaching (Kindergarten to Year 8) and have been working in the sector for over 20 years.
For the past 11 years I have worked for Uniting, with the past 7 years in my current role. Seeing children grow from being tiny babies to toddlers and eventually kindergarten children ready for school is incredibly rewarding. I love to witness the look on a child’s face when they achieve something like writing their own name or completing a challenging puzzle.
I am passionate about giving children a warm and nurturing environment where they can freely learn, form friendships and be curious, engaged and competent learners. I am dedicated to working with families to provide the best possible learning and care for their children.
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
We focus on empowering your child to make healthy choices by offering lessons on nutrition, food safety and cuisines from other cultures. Your child will help with growing and preparing our home–grown produce to encourage sustainable living and healthy eating. At our early learning centre, we:
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
