Early learning in Balmoral.
Located in the Balmoral Family Centre Community Hub on Bell Street, our childcare service offers a nurturing environment for your child to learn and play while you are at work.
You can rely on us for long day care to support your busy schedule, while we provide fun and creative early learning experiences for your child.
Your child will enjoy social and educational activities to build their sense of belonging, resilience, kindness and teamwork.
Our educators are passionate about nurturing local children, offering early learning activities within our tight–knit community.

Your child will enjoy indoor and outdoor activities that will encourage them to care for the
environment and form social connections. Our early learning centre features:
- Trees and natural shade
- A worm farm
- A sand pit.
- Fruit trees and vegetable gardening beds
- A bike track

Family and community connections
We welcome families to join our activities. If you have the time, you can get involved in:
- Talking to the children about your job, hobbies or other interesting topics
- Volunteering to support our programs
- Assisting with fundraising.
To support your child’s learning and development, we regularly engage with local:
- Emergency service providers
- Farmers
- Post office workers
- Opportunity Shop volunteers
- Bush nursing staff, doctors and visiting practitioners.

Jodie
Hi, I’m Jodie and I’m the Service Leader at Balmoral Uniting Early Learning. I’ve been with Uniting for over 20 years and have a Diploma of Community Services Childcare. I love being involved in the early years sector to watch children grow into their unique and individual selves. I enjoy providing positive experiences that will foster a child’s lifelong learning in sustainable practices. The team at Balmoral provide children with opportunities to engage in our community through excursions and incursions, building their confidence in familiar and unfamiliar environments. Throughout our service, there will be fun experiences your child can enjoy while making long–term friends.
Health and wellbeing
Mental health
Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We also offer mental health support for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
Nutrition
We make health education fun. Your child will learn about basic nutrition and how to take care of their bodies. We show children the joys of growing their own fresh food in our garden and encourage them to make healthy food choices. Through active play, sport and group activities, your child will be inspired to take care of themselves and each other.
Safe environment
As a child safe organisation, our educators undergo regular working with children’s and police checks. We are focused on delivering learning nd development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands.
